The story telling of the 24 frantic hours which followed the escape of General de Gaulle from French territory in 1940 after government had collapsed, chaos and violence had taken over the towns and villages and the French army had been defeated by the Nazi troops, ending with de Gaulle –supported by Churchill- urging the French population to resist through a radio broadcast from London. What happened during those hours which ended up transforming de Gaulle in the legendary character we know in our days?
