Compagnie des Phares et Balises was founded in 1992 by Jean Labib and T. Celal, developing its know-how in archive-based documentaries and international co-productions with Great Britain, Germany and the United States. It today focuses as much on current affairs as it does on history and social issues. Since 2001 the company produces a weekly news magazine about Europe for ARTE. In 2006, we opened a fiction department. Three fictions have been produced and five new fictions are in production.
